A brief History of Bright Stars International college, Isanlu
Bright stars international college BSIC is a private co-educational college of 94 students, which offers quality education in a range of subjects at junior secondary (Upper Basic School) and the senior secondary.
The vision of the college is to produce boys and girls who will be shining stars in terms of Academic Excellence, Christian and leadership qualities.
The college is located within the palace area ( Agbana of Isanlu land), a little behind the Progressive Link Micro-Finance Bank Ltd.
Dr. S.O. Ijagbemi is the proprietor of the college.
Elder E.T. Owu is an executive director of the college
Mr. S.A. Yeye (Bus.Ed) 1995 was the pioneer principal of the college.
Mr. S.O. Ige (B.sc) 2008; Mr R.I. Ehinmidu B.sc.(Ed) 1994, Mr. O. David B.Sc(Ed) Maths 2010; Mr. O. Benjamin HND (Accts) 2010; were the pioneer teaching staffs while Mrs. Olajide D. WASC 1987(Cook); Mrs. Benjamin R. (cook) and Mr Abba Musa were the pioneer non-teaching staff of the college. As at the current session 2015/2016, the school has eleven (11) teachers and five non-teaching staffs.
The college was established on the 11th of September, 2012. At the inception of the college, there was a population of thirteen (13) students comprising of five (5) boys and eight (8) girls, all in two (2) classes of JSS1 and SS1.
The catchment areas of the college are Isanlu community, environs and all other states of the federation.
The college received a letter of approval from the Ministry of Education on 2nd March, 2015 to operate fully as a private school.
Dr. E.K. Owu of Scholars Educational Consultancy Services is the educational consultant to the college right from inception to date. His wealth of experience of over-thirty years had helped us to sustain the college to its present status.
